Mohit lalvani – MD & Founder

Mohit Lalvani is a serial entrepreneur and his ventures are focused on solving problems in the beauty & personal care industry. More than two decades ago, he founded India’s first value added beauty care specialities distribution business, which he successfully sold to an American MNC in 2015.

Mohit brings nearly two decades of experience in sourcing ingredients from the best in class global manufacturers and creating formulations that exactly meet market needs. His clientele included Marico, ITC Limited, Emami, Himalaya, Park Avenue, Patanjali, Glenmark, Cipla, Reckitt Benckiser, Dabur, Sun Pharma.

Mohit and his wife Mumtaz often like to unwind with some malts and wine, which they collect from across the world. They have 8 children – a son and a daughter, Zack and five cats.


Japan Vyas – Investor

Japan Vyas, the co-founder and Managing Partner of Sixth Sense Ventures is a marquee early stage investor. Previously, Japan set up the alternative investment practice of IDFC Investment Advisors, raising and managing Rs. 850 crore across two funds. He was an early investor in Paytm and RBL Bank through his funds. He is an active seed investor with a portfolio spread primarily across technology and social impact space. His other investments include Dimension NXG, Khadder, Happy Roots, InVideo, Remitr, Eva Bot etc.


Leena Mukhi – Director Beauty & Personal Care

Leena is an entrepreneur at heart and has been running ventures focused on beauty, fashion and lifestyle for over two decades now. With a deep understanding of beauty industry, it’s only natural for her to head the product development at Em&Em.

She and her husband Naren, a garment exporter, have three children – two daughters and a dog. Her hobbies include dancing, reading and networking.


Samara Jacob – Head of Business Development & Client Management

Samara, born and brought up in Canada, has 20+ years of experience working in Toronto and Mumbai, in the field of Loyalty Programs, specific to the analysis of consumer behaviour. Samara moved to India in 2012 and found herself drawn to the Personal Care Industry, initially focused on the distribution of ingredients.

Samara then moved into branding, marketing and now business development for Em&Em.Samara enjoys living in Mumbai and is passionate about travelling within India. Most recently she began promoting and selling contemporary Indian art.
